Bold striped sweater via Forever21 | Wide leg denim (similar style here) | J.W. Anderson bag | White ankle boots | White oversized chunky knit beanie |
Lately I’ve been attracted to more color, like this striped sweater. The bold striped sweater trend has been huge this year, and I’m finally jumping on the bandwagon. Which makes since for me because we all know how much I love stripes, so what could go wrong? Bold stripes are eye catching and make a statement, clearly it’s the hero piece of today’s look.
This one I found at Forever 21 and I love the ribbed texture. I decided to size up to a medium as things tend to run a bit small at Forever 21. The quality is surprisingly great too which sshocked me because it was a steal at only $15! Such a great entry price to try out a style if you’re unsure about it. I also really love this oversized sweater as well and it’s on sale!
Lastly I balanced out this look with a pair of wide leg denim. This pair has been my go to when wearing contour tops like this one. The wash is just right because it’s in between dark and light so it goes with pretty much everything. Also I love the distressing in the back at the hem, they look amazing when paired with booties.
Anyway, I hope you guys had a wonderful New Years! I feel so regenerated and well rested after the holiday! I took things very easy all of last week and didn’t post as much and it felt so great to just detox from social media! While I do love posting and connecting with you guys, sometimes it’s nice to just take a break and not have to be glued to my phone. Alex and I binge watched a few shows and cooked every night, it was so relaxing and nice spending time at home together. We love cooking but we are both usually so busy that home cooked meals are far and in between. This year I definitely want to figure out a way to cook more together and keep that a bit more consistent. Also I’m committed to getting a six pack, so we will be cooking healthy!
With that said, my two New Years resolutions are more travel (one trip a month) and getting a six pack. Did you guys make any resolutions this year, if so I’d love to hear in the comments below. As always thank you so much for stopping by and cheers to 2018!
