Wore this Zara dress to my first Runway show! The Tadashi show was seriously one of my favorites and I was so honored to be invited!
One of the looks from the Tadashi show! This show inspired me to wear more ruffles (as if that is even possible) and it also ignited a love for dark florals and prints. (Photo by Frazer Harrison)
The highlight of my trip was being asked to the Dan Liu show and getting to wear new pieces from his collection! Also how adorable is this shift dress my sweet friend Chiara is wearing?
I wore this Opening Ceremony skirt while shopping in SOHO, my favorite spot in the city! Also You have to stop by the flat iron building next time you’re in New York!
Wore this white pleated skirt to the Reward Style HQ retreat! This flower backdrop was way too pretty to pass up a good photo opportunity. Pleats and sneakers have been a major go-to style for me lately so of course I packed this obsession along with me to NYFW!
Stopped by Woops on my last day in the city! The decorum in this tiny little french bakery was to die! I ordered a cinnamon begum waffle (YUMMM) with macaroons and a latte. It was a perfectly balanced meal if I do say so myself! (Don’t worry I didn’t eat the whole box, although I wanted too)!
Another trip highlight was getting to brunch with VOGUE! I was so extremely honored to be invited to this event and loved getting to meet with some of the team. Also got to hang with some sweet fellow bloggers and made new friends. A huge thank you to Vogue for having me, I’m still picking myself!
NYFW was such a dream! Admittedly I’ve never been a blogger that felt like I had to go to Fashion Week, but now having gone, I totally get it! It’s also just so amazing to connect with other influencers and brands that are equally as excited about fashion. Seeing what a large influence bloggers have in fashion is very inspiring and re-lit that fire that first drove me to blogging. As cheesy as that may sound, I definitely left Fashion Week feeling excited and reassured that I’m on the right path. There is enough room for everyone to succeed in fashion, if they really want it. The sky’s the limit babes!
Now that we covered my feelings on FW, haha! Let’s chat about wardrobe. Leading up to FW I splurged on a few key pieces like these Golden Goose sneakers, this Kenzo sweatshirt (obsessed) and this Opening Ceremony skirt. The other half of my wardrobe didn’t arrive in time due to the storm, so I just made due with what I had. All 70 pounds of it, haha! The most important thing for me when planning outfits for FW was I wanted to feel comfortable. People say take risk and I agree, but you don’t want to be second guessing yourself because you want to feel confident and comfortable in what you’re wearing. So take risks of course but also make sure you feel 100% comfortable!
I wore a lot of pleated skirts (as you can see) and dressed casual for a lot of the daytime events. I also was asked to wear clothing from 3 different runway shows including Dan Liu, Leanne Marshall and the Australia runway show. It was so fun getting to run to fittings and being able to work with brands that I adore like Bronx and Banco which I sat front row and wore a gorgeous lace dress (not available online yet, but I will share with you guys soon).
Thanks for stopping by!
