Minimal looks are more popular that ever at the moment, and I think we can all agree that keeping your closet stocked with items that intermix and go well together is a good idea. One reason being is that it makes things a whole lot easier when you’re trying to get ready in the mornings. You don’t have to have those moments when you’re standing in your closet tapping your foot, consequentially causing you to run behind all day. Trust me we’ve all been there before! And don’t we always tell ourselves, “I’m going to buy more clothes so that this will never happen again”? Which is the wrong answer! So today I’m going to share a few wardrobe hacks that have helped me minimize those awful times of having “nothing to wear”, so that we can spend those few extra minutes on our hair. The real nemesis! LOL
Become a lover of neutrals.
I can’t say this enough! And as much as I loved all of my pretty bright colored tops, they were secretly sabotaging me from getting ready on time! Another thing I noticed, was how little I was actually wearing them, in-fact most of them were one hit wonders! Now when I’m shopping for a new top, I always try to think of different ways I can wear it. Like this classic striped top that I’m wearing for today’s look. It’s one of those tops that can be styled a million different ways and fit’s right in with my neutral wardrobe.
Less is more.
When building your minimalist wardrobe keep this in mind. Having more is not the objective, having pieces that work for your wardrobe and that you can wear for years to come is key. Majority of today’s look is from last season (besides the top & bag), and I’ll be able to style each of these pieces over and over again differently. This blazer is a favorite of mine, and J.Crew has so many great options right now! Including this blazer that’s currently on sale.
I hope today’s post inspired you, and Thanks for stopping by!
