Happy Monday! We just made it home from LA and admittedly I’m already having withdrawals. We were only there for a few days but we really took advantage and made the most of our time, especially since neither of us had ever been. So in today’s post I’ll cover some of our favorite things we got to do/see while in LA.

1. Hike at Runyon Canyon Park

First thing Friday morning, we went for a run at Runyon Canyon Park. Seriously the best way to start the day! Such and incredible view of the city and the famous Hollywood sign. It’s a pretty intense workout as well, it took us about two hours to complete the trail. Of course that includes us stopping to take photos and have water breaks, so I’m sure it doesn’t take everyone that long. I recommend going early in the morning before it get’s too hot out, and bring plenty of water so you don’t over heat. I work out 3-5 times a week and my legs are still sore from the trail.

2. The farmers market

The farmers market in West Hollywood is amazing! Some of the shops have been there for over 75 years so it’s just really cool to walk around and see. You definitely want to go hungry because the food is amazing and they have everything you can think of, from French crepe’s to gumbo. Also they have an outdoor mall with a lot of shopping and live music, you really feel like you’re walking around in another country, it’s so much fun!

3. Alfred’s tea/coffee house

I thought we had good coffee in Houston, but Alfred’s is the next level. It’s located on Melrose Avenue, and the tea room is directly across from the coffee shop so of course we visited both. Check out their Instagram, it’s such a cool spot. They also have a ton of shopping and great restaurants along Melrose, it’s definitely the hot spot to visit when your in LA.

4. Drive through Beverly Hills

This was one of my favorite things we did while in LA, driving through Beverly Hills and seeing all the perfectly manicured gardens and mansions. We got to see the water fountain from the movie Clueless where Cher realizes “OMG, I love Josh”. LOL! We also passed by the famous Beverly Hills hotel and it looks exactly like it does in all the movies. I wish we got to see the walk of fame but we ran out of time unfortunately. Two day’s just isn’t enough time to see everything, but we did a lot for what little time we had.

I’d love to hear in the comments below some of your favorite things to do in LA! Thanks for stopping by!
