It’s been a very long summer here in Texas, but we finally got our first real whip of cold weather (low 40’s) over the weekend. I’m now rushing to find scarves and last minute items since I held off buying due to it being so hot. I blame our bi-polar weather we’ve grown accustomed to here in Houston.
Anyway, I found this baby blue sweater at Nordstrom and instantly fell in love. I don’t own many blue tops, but I’m thinking that may change because it’s such a flattering color, especially for winter. I did have to size up two sizes to an US8 because this one runs a little small. I like most of my knits to be an oversized fit anyway, so this one fit’s perfect since I sized up. Also I always receive a lot of comments on my jeans, they are old from Zara (almost 2 years) but I just can’t seem to part with them! I did find a few very similar options here and here, so I would check them out if you are looking for distressed jeans.
In other news, this Wednesday Alex, the pup, and I are headed to Chicago for Thanksgiving. No worries, the scarves I ordered are being overnighted and will get plenty of use! I’m most excited to spend time catching up with family but also equally excited for the pizza and hotdogs. Oh and we will be eating turkey on Thanksgiving too, so our diets have been thrown out the window. Be prepared to see lots of snaps of yummy food and my fur baby in the city if you are following along on Insta! What are some of your Thanksgiving plans? I’d love to hear in the comments below!
