How to dress up a graphic tee with Nordstrom

Lately my wardrobe has been pretty basic, which I like, but give me a reason to get dressed up and I will go there! Let me introduce you to this sparkle pleated darling I picked up over the weekend at Nordstrom! It's actually not available online yet but you can find it in stores, and gosh is it the perfect piece for fall! I decided to pair it with a t-shirt, because why not given my love affair with graphic tees? Admittedly, I usually wear them with jeans or shorts but I figured why not dress this one up a bit to create a dressy casual look. It's very Sarah Jessica Parker of me, I know!

I'm already thinking of other ways to wear this skirt once the weather cools off a bit more. I think it would look killer with a leather jacket for a date night or even with a sweater and sneakers for a casual vibe. The possibilities are really endless with this skirt ladies!

P.S. Since this skirt isn't up online yet, I found this one which is almost identical. Be sure to scroll below for additional outfit details, and thank you for reading!

Special thanks to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post, all selections and options are my own. As always Thank you for supporting the brands that help make F&C possible.

Currently trending- the tie front skirt

Can you believe summer is officially over? With that said the weather is still pretty warm here in Texas, go figure! So adding textures like this faux leather skirt, keeps me cool but still embraces fall. Not to mention, how adorable is the tie in the front? I love that tie waist dresses and skirts are getting so much attention right now, it adds such a feminine touch and really accentuates the waistline. Now that's a trend I can embrace! Also the length of this skirt is not too short so you can get away with wearing it in the daytime. I wore this look to an afternoon fall fashion show and it was perfect for not looking too dressy! Oh and the best part about this skirt is the price tag-under $30! I'm wearing a US size 4 but if you are in between size's, order up a size.

Now let's chat about knits! Admittedly, I've already bought about 15 sweaters for fall, but I seriously can't help myself! While I'm always sad to see summer go, this girl loves her cozy knits and textures! The one I'm wearing today by free people is a total winner by the way! It perfectly falls off the shoulder and drapes really pretty. I'm not quite ready to give up my off the shoulder looks, so I'm definitely happy this one carry's over into fall! Also it'll look super cute with jeans and over the knee boots when it cools off more! Can't wait to style this one again, it's defiantly one of those you'll keep reaching for in your closet.

Falling in love with camo

Ripped boyfriend jeans (old, similar here) | Camo jacketGigi New York Bag | ChokerMarc Fisher Zala heels | White Camisole top

Admittedly, in the past I was never a huge fan of camo print ANYTHING... but that's definitely not the case today! I love how adding a piece like this jacket (wearing a size small) from Abercrombie gives off just the right amount of street style. With that said, camouflage is a very masculine print, so be sure to add accessories with pieces like this choker, and a pair of heels to keep from looking too boyish.

Also if you are like me and wanting to tip-toe your way into the trend, keep things simple by wearing basics with a pop of camo. I opted for my favorite white cami (obsessed) and ripped boyfriend jeans. My jeans are from two years ago (sorry), but I found a great alternative here, and they happen to be on sale! I just ordered them because I saw them on another blog and they looked almost identical to the ones I'm wearing today.

Grey and white

Happy Monday! As you can see, my affinity for all things cutout is still going strong. It's not a hard trend to love when you combine it with a classic LWD. I found this one at Forever and it sold out super quick, but I was able to find an identical option here, for only $30.

Now let's talk shoes. These lace up darlings have been on my wishlist for quite some time, and I finally pulled the trigger. So happy I did, because they are beyond comfy (you guys know I don't play around with un-comfy shoes) and the grey color is so pretty for fall! I can't wait to wear them with skinny jeans and chunky sweaters when the weather cools off.

Hope you enjoyed today's look, be sure to scroll below for more outfit details!

Eva Longoria's from work to wine collection

Recently I had the opportunity to chat with Eva Longoria about her new collection with The Limited! Talk about a major pinch me moment! I've only been a HUGE fan of her for years... and I gotta say her new collection is amazing! If you're looking for a wardrobe that easily transitions from the office to a night out, Eva's new collection has got you covered. Hence the name, "work to wine".

Eva talked a little with me about why she was so inspired to start a line and specifically focus on work to evening wear.

EL: Women I know will go out and spend so much money on their work clothes, then they spend so much money on a going out with friends wardrobe. That's why I like to call this line from work to wine, because so many of these pieces you can intermix with both lives. You don't have to have two separate budgets, two separate closets for your professional life and your personal life. A lot of my dresses you can throw a blazer over them to wear to the office, and then as soon as you take that blazer off, that dress will become your favorite going out on the weekend dresses.

Another thing Eva and I chatted about was our affinity of graphic tees. A lot of these were inspired by my love for wine, said Eva. Her tee's have cute statements like, "it's wine o'clock" and "wine goals". Or my personal favorite, " I get better with wine". Talk about a perfect representation of me on the weekends!

The whole collection is specifically designed for all my #girlboss ladies out there, so be sure to check out the new collection at The Limited.
